Industrial pure titanium is titanium content of not less than 99%, and contains a small amount of iron, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and other impurities of dense metal titanium. Impurities on the mechanical properties of pure titanium is the most obvious effect of oxygen, nitrogen and iron, especially oxygen. Hydrogen and titanium reaction is reversible, hydrogen on the performance of titanium is mainly manifested as "hydrogen embrittlement", usually stipulated that the hydrogen content shall not exceed 0.03% -0.05% hydrogen. Industrial pure titanium at room temperature is a dense row of hexagonal lattice (α), has a good workability. Pure titanium has good molding properties and welding properties, and is not sensitive to heat treatment.
GR1 belongs to the α-type titanium alloy, is an industrial pure titanium alloy, GR1 has high strength, low density, excellent corrosion resistance and toughness, its tensile strength between 350-550MPa, good plasticity, easy to process molding and welding, which consists of titanium elements with purity higher than 99.5%.
Industrial pure titanium as a metal material for surgical implants has been included in the ISO5832-2-1999 international standard, to meet the long-term implant materials should be the following basic requirements: corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, superior tensile strength, fatigue and good toughness, elasticity of the abrasive tool, wear resistance and satisfactory price.
