Its room-temperature strength exceeds that of industrial pure titanium by 20% to 50%, and it exhibits good corrosion resistance in various media. Compared to GR5 alloy, GR9 alloy demonstrates superior weldability and cold formability.

1. Chemical Reactors
Equipment manufactured with GR9 titanium plate allows for a reduction in wall thickness of 2-3 millimeters. Under an internal pressure of 10 MPa, its deformation is only one-third that of stainless steel. In high-speed centrifuge applications, its high strength allows for thinner wall designs (for example, a 3 mm thick titanium plate can replace traditional 6 mm thick stainless steel), which not only reduces rotational inertia and increases rotational speed but also minimizes material residue.
2.Corrosive Fluid Conveyance Piping
When transporting chemical fluids containing chloride ions or sulfuric acid, Grade 9 titanium plate's stable passivation layer (offering superior crevice corrosion resistance compared to pure titanium) prevents pipeline perforation. Its lightweight properties simplify support structures, reducing installation and maintenance costs.
