Superior Corrosion Resistance: Forms a dense, self-healing oxide film that provides excellent resistance to seawater, chlorides, and marine atmospheres . Corrosion rate in 3.5% NaCl solution is less than 0.0025mm/year .
High Strength: Tensile strength ≥ 895 MPa, yield strength ≥ 828 MPa . Up to 45% lighter than steel with equivalent strength .
Excellent Fatigue Resistance: Withstands repeated stress cycles in dynamic marine environments .
Good Weldability: Can be welded with proper inert gas shielding; recommended filler material is AWS A5.16-90 ERTi-5 .
Non-Magnetic: Ideal for applications requiring magnetic signature control, such as naval vessels and sensitive instrumentation
